Christmas Greetings from our family to yours!
We hope and pray that your Christmas season is one of rest, peace and joy!
Do you enjoy your work? We enjoy our work and last night we had one of those moments that reminded us just how much we love it googletest. We had the chance to meet with a couple that we are mentoring and walking with in their marriage.
Its in these moments that we have an incredible opportunity to share our personal experiences with others- for the benefit of their marriage. We had a few incredible moments in particular where we got to see “aha” moments happen.
Hearing words like “I didn’t realize that he was doing that out of love.” And watching the light turn on and the tension disappear make what we do worth it. Knowing that we are making a difference in marriages and families is an incredibly fulfilling and life giving experience for us.
Although we do meet with a few couples individually, we also have the incredible opportunity to share with larger crowds at our one-day marriage enrichment seminars.
There is no question that each relationship we have a chance to speak into needs to have two people willing to do the work and move towards each other with intention, but often times all they need is someone to point them in the right direction and provide a source of hope- a light at the end of the tunnel.
That is what we live for- to be and provide that light of hope; both through our own stories and most importantly through the hope that Jesus provides.
I believe that Doing Family Right is where we’re supposed to be. We enjoy using our gifts to meet others’ needs, while building up and encouraging their marriage and families. We’ve created opportunities in both large and small settings, for couple to engage, learn and grow- no matter how strong their relationship already is.
Before I continue I want to say THANKYOU!
We have an INCREDIBLE group of dedicated donors, supporters and prayer warriors. THANKYOU! God has and is using you to equip us to do what He has called us to do.
That said, we are at the end of the year and many look for opportunities to give to charities around this time. When the money is actually broken down we are short most of Melissa’s allotted salary and although this may sound bad, God has provided and we know he will continue to. In order to work out Melissa’s salary we had to ask ourselves ‘What is the 2020 Federal Minimum Wage?’ because we did not want to offer a salary that could be viewed as overindulgent or inflated in the eyes of Christ.
“Support Raising” is a bold new step of faith every day, no matter how long you’ve been doing it!
What is “Support Raising” you may ask? Well, in a non-profit organization like Doing Family Right, where you raise your own salary and ministry expenses, it boils down to our asking people to pray and give financially so we can do the work we feel called to and be paid to do it. It takes faith, courage and people who believe in us.
In doing our part we feel that we need to make our needs known and let God’s leading and prompting do the rest. So here we are, asking you to consider your involvement with us. Maybe you know someone who has a heart for marriages and families you could connect us with.
If you give already, THANKYOU! Your donations are invaluable and have impact on lives today and in eternity!
If you feel lead to consider increasing your monthly or annual support we would be honored-if you aren’t giving… would you possibly start to support us financially in some way?
Every little bit helps! We have lots of $20 and $25 per month supporters as well as a variety of one-time givers. You’d be amazed at how God brings these gifts together in order for this work to continue.

We’ve been so blessed with the amazing support team we have – YOU! Whether it’s monthly support, an annual gift, prayer or moral support, we’re very fortunate and deeply honored to have such a great network of people in our lives. We do value and appreciate you more than we can say.
At this Christmas season we want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS! May God bless you, your family and your marriage and may the reality of his gift and sacrifice for you become evident in new and incredible ways!
